Capture your life story, in your words, for the people who matter most.

My passion is in the little details that make up a person’s story. Everybody has a unique perspective to offer the world, memories gained, and lessons hard won. Every life is a gift, and documenting the story of your life to share with future generations is the most precious gift of all.

A unique package is tailored to each client.

You’ll initially receive a list of questions to consider, to jog your memory of particular moments. It is amazing how an unassuming question like “tell me about your first pet” can spark memories of a place, a time, and a feeling of belonging. Who was there? How did you feel about it? What did the experience teach you? Often, stories come up that would have never seen the light of day otherwise, leaving your loved ones saying “I didn’t know that about you!”

If you prefer, you can jot down memories as they come to you, and send these through so I can begin crafting your story. Other times, people like to hold a series of interviews, so questions can be asked and notes taken in real time, saving you the need to try and find the right words yourself - that is what I’m here for, after all!

As the story starts to come to life, I’ll prepare a cohesive narrative in either first person (known as ghost writing) or third person (more of a biography style). Throughout, I’m searching for those gold nuggets that inevitably show themselves - what has the person in front of me learned through their years, what theme or message appears strongly in their life, that must be captured and sung out through the words of their story?

Finally, after your review and approval, the story is sent to the printers for publishing. Two copies of the book are delivered to your door, with further copies able to be produced upon request.

It was a genuine privilege for me to prepare a ‘Book of Life’ for my father, Peter Casey.

Through this process, I was able to sit on both sides of the equation, as writer and as a family member, and learn first hand the value in knowing that his story and his life will be captured forever.

Despite his initial protestations of “who would want to know about me? I’m just an ordinary person”, the hours went by quickly over a series of weeks as stories were shared of “a little mischief”, and a touch of wisdom.

Generously, he has allowed a sample of his story to be shared publically as an example of what the Book of Life can offer.
