About Andie
Hello there, it’s lovely to meet you!
I’m Andie, a writer based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Although I’ve been writing for most of my life, I began pursuing it seriously in late 2024. Since then, it’s been quite the whirlwind!
I’m fortunate to have had articles published in AFLOAT magazine and on E Marine. I’ve acted as editor for Tony Mowbray’s sailing memoir Never EVER Give In!, and have reviewed and edited other upcoming works - including my own novel, which I hope to finish in the near future.
My short fiction has found success as well. Into the Dust was shortlisted for the Ernestine Hill Award with the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW, and The Stranger was a finalist in the 2025 Next Generation Short Story Awards (Horror/Scary Stories/Paranormal category).
I’ve drawn on my years of experience in Human Resources to craft personalised resumes for clients, and have been thrilled to learn of their successes.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which I often draw on to strike a balance between logic and emotion in my work. Sometimes I find myself drawing heavily on fact-driven academia, and other times stretching creative muscles to create an alternate world for myself and readers to slip into for a while.
