Hello there, it’s lovely to meet you!

I’m Andie, a writer based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches since 2016. I grew up in the South Island of New Zealand, and to make a long story short (ha!) - I’ve been a writer since day dot.

I love a short story, a spot of memoir (novel about a year I spent travelling around Australia forthcoming!). I’ve also written articles, resumés, and acted as editor on a novel.

And, look - I’m not amazing at talking myself up - but when I have moments of thinking I’m a terrible writer, I try to remember that I was shortlisted for 3 awards in the space of 6 months. More info on the portfolio page. That was a true thing that happened so I may as well put it here.

I also don’t use AI, I use the em dashes because I always have and you can pry them out of my cold dead hands. Too much? Sorry, I’ll stop. Anyway, I don’t use AI, and to those who say why even write in this world where computers run everything and the gpt can do it all:
